East Mills' paras participated in training today. They learned verbal de-escalation strategies, para expectations, and responsibilities. Thank you to Mrs. Rasmussen and Mrs. Knight for teaching this training!

Classroom Management training! Today, about 25 teachers from East Mills did classroom management training with Kerry Newman from the AEA. We are preparing for the new school year.

We would love to have more mentors at East Mills!

HS and MS student council meeting on August 12th from 1-3 PM.

East Mills is looking for paras, specifically in the focus area of Life Skills. These paras would coordinate with Mrs. Heard and the administration, most likely work with 1-3 students, go with students to classes, assist them in their goal areas, and help with their specific accommodations.

3rd-5th grade: 5:30 - 6:30
6th - 8th grade: 6:30 - 8:00
August 12th and 13th.
$20 per camper

Cross Country Information:
We will continue our summer workouts through this Thursday, the 24th. Please park in the north lot near the weight room this week.

Here is the Cross Country schedule for August. JH doesn't start practice until the first day of school, but can attend camp. We have our first meet on the second day of school! Please reach out to Mrs. Rasmussen if you have any questions.

East Mills CSD is looking for Paras, a cook, coaches, and subs! Reach out if interested or have questions.

Registration for new families to East Mills will be August 6th from 8 AM - 4 PM and August 7th from 12 PM - 8 PM. Returning families do not need to come to registration; your children will roll over in Infinite Campus. You will need to log in to your parent portal to pay fees and update information. We will let you know when the parent portal is open to do this.

We have been spending some time this summer reviewing testing data. Here are our East Mills ACT scores over the past 10 years compared to the state. One of our strategic plan goals is student achievement. Great work, students and staff!
