East Mills Community School District

Registration for new families to East Mills will be August 6th from 8 AM - 4 PM and August 7th from 12 PM - 8 PM. Returning families do not need to come to registration; your children will roll over in Infinite Campus. You will need to log in to your parent portal to pay fees and update information. We will let you know when the parent portal is open to do this.

We have been spending some time this summer reviewing testing data. Here are our East Mills ACT scores over the past 10 years compared to the state. One of our strategic plan goals is student achievement. Great work, students and staff!

The baseball game today against FM at Lenox will now start at 3 PM due to rain chances this evening.

The summer running program starts on Monday, July 7th, for any incoming 7th-12th graders interested in Cross Country. If you are not sure if Cross Country is for you, join us in July to try it out.
Our goal is to build base miles and endurance now so we can focus on speed and strategy in August. Meet in the front loop, near the west entrance, at either 8 am or 6 pm.

East Mills High School Football Camp for incoming 9th - 12th graders will be Monday, July 21st through Friday, July 25th from 7-10 AM. Please bring football cleats, water bottles, and tennis shoes. Location is TBD. Contact Coach Turney with any questions.

Have you ever thought about being a substitute teacher? East Mills will reimburse you for taking the course, provided you substitute at East Mills for at least 5 days during the school year. East Mills pays $150 per day for subs. We could always use more substitute teachers.

On Wednesday, July 9th, at East Mills CSD, Jess Schaben-Lansman, one of the most prolific volleyball players from Southwest Iowa and a former Omaha Supernova, is hosting a volleyball clinic for 3rd - 12th graders.
