On Saturday, May 9th, 2026, the girls and boys junior high track teams headed to the Mike Henderson State Track Meet. The boys were held in Ankeny and the girls were in Waukee. It was a beautiful day and the student athletes represented our school with extremely positive results! There were so many personal records broken and our very own Addilyn Loparco earned 2nd place overall vs all 1A & 2A schools in the 100 M dash and the 400 M dash. Addie also earned 8th place overall in 1A & 2A schools in the 200 M dash. She earned 17 total team points and the girls team ended at 11th out of 47 teams. For the boys team our very own Jayden Norris earned 8th place in the high jump!
The day was long but the future of these individuals is worth every second!
You have one last chance to see this team in action on Friday May 16th at Sidney for the JH Corner Conference track meet! Field events start at 4PM and running events at 4:30PM. Go Wolverines!
