Hometown Heroes
East Mills CSD would like to acknowledge two hometown heroes. On Tuesday, September 8th, during a volleyball match, 7th grade volleyball player Ruby Hastie fell unconscious and two parents, Candace Palmer and Jami Sayers performed life saving CPR on Ruby. She regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital by rescue squad.
Ruby has since recovered and is doing well, playing volleyball with her teammates.
The quick actions of these two women, and other parents who came to help Ruby and her teammates, are to be honored. We all should be proud of the East Mills community standing together in this moment of need. Thank you ladies and well done!
