What is a Paraprofessional/Teacher’s Associate at East Mills Community School District? An Associate works directly with students one on one in the classroom setting. She (or He) helps the student with classroom work by keeping the student focused using positive reinforcement. She may help the child study by listening to the student read. She may read to the student, if the student is an auditory learner. She may listen as the student verbally works through classroom problems, because maybe that is the best way for the student to learn. Most importantly, she helps the student celebrate his/her successes, helping the student develop a sense of accomplishment, and growing life-long skills to develop self confidence and pride. The Teacher’s Associate is an invaluable role in our school.
East Mills Community School District is now accepting applications for a full time Paraprofessional/Teacher's Assistant. This position works 1:1 with students requiring additional support and guidance in the classroom. The selected candidate will receive sick time, holiday pay, insurance, and summers off.
