The East Mills Math Counts team of Camryn Johnson, Anthony Obermiller, Klara Seipold and Brodyn Wray qualified for the state Math Counts meet on March 29th by  ringing home 3rd place in the Math Counts competition held on Tuesday, February 19th at the Council Bluffs Boys and Girls Club. First and second place honors went to St. Albert and Lewis Central. Fifteen teams competed in this event.  Camryn Johnson placed in the “top ten” of these student mathletes out of one hundred fifteen 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This honor also qualified him for the state meet in March which will be held in Des Moines. The team also brought home hardware by winning the “Most Improved School” title this year.  The team placed 9th last year and improved to a top three finish on Tuesday. Bob Singleton, long time Malvern volunteer, has been coaching the students since September to prepare for this major competition. CONGRATULATIONS to Camryn, Brodyn, Klara and Anthony and Best of Luck in March.
